Justice League premieres on Cartoon Network on November 17, 2001. This base off from the popular DC Comics superheroes, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter. Justice League marks the first time in more than 15 years that these characters have come together in a television series since first uniting inSuper Friends, which ran back in the early 70's through the early 80's. Each episode will be 22 minutes, although all of the stories will be two- or three-parters. In this third season of the Justice League series, the world’s greatest superheroes, led by Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern, enlist some help from additional friends Green Arrow, Supergirl and Captain Atom, as well as more obscure superheroes such as Hawk & Dove, B’wana Beast, Booster Gold and Zatanna, just to name a few. With all the new heroes, a slew of new villains were also added for them to battle. Unlike the previous JL series, these episodes focused mainly on the rotating characters, and each story was contained in a single episode, rather than 2-part episodes.

    Superman and Batman fight for their lives to rescue the last surviving Martian who has come to earth to warn of the invasion. They are soon joined by Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash and Hawkgirl. But they may be to late as the aliens have already begun to convert earth's atmosphere. Hope becomes sparse as one of the heroes falls in battle.

    When Aquaman decides he has had enough of the surface-dwellers trespassing in his ocean, the Justice League try to smooth things over. Taking Superman's advice Aquaman decides to speak to the World Assembly. But it soon becomes apparent that Aquaman may have been right about the surface-dwellers all along.

    Betrayed by his own subjects, Aquaman and the League fight to save Atlantis, The World and Aquaman's own son. Sacrifices must be made to keep his Kingdom and his life intact.

    Wonder Woman returns to Paradise Island to make up with her mother for her rapid departure, only to find all of the Amazons transformed to statues. The sorcerer, Felix Faust is holding the Amazons as hostages to force Wonder Woman to recover three ancient artifacts.
